PLAYERS are a bit greedy. So, while four points from games against Luton and Kidderminster this week has been a great effort, we look back and think it should have been more.

Looking at the Luton game, we were obviously delighted with the result.

It was a deserved win, but it was about so much more.

For me it was a complete performance and that's not just because it was against Luton.

We created chances, scored goals and defensively, their goal aside, we were solid.

The lads just put in a terrific effort for the full 90 minutes.

We then went to Kidderminster on Monday and overall it was good, but we were naturally disappointed to concede the late goal, especially as they had been reduced to 10 men.

There are good draws and bad draws and I guess we look at that as a bad draw because of the circumstances, but, overall, we can't complain.

It has been really pleasing to see Kyle Perry get on the scoresheet – three goals in two games is a great return and he's settling in well now.

It's a new thing to him, the lone striker role, and it takes time.

It's not easy and he's following in the footsteps of two experienced lads in Gareth Sheldon and Iyseden Christie, who were terrific for the club.

But Kyle is looking sharper and fitter with each game. He's putting in the effort on the pitch and starting to get the rewards.

Hopefully, he can take his form into the Mansfield game this weekend. It's a game we are looking forward to.

We did well at Field Mill last season, winning in the FA Cup and drawing in the league and, although they have started well, we don't fear them.

On our day, we are a match for anyone in this league, as we have shown.

Hopefully we can continue to show that this weekend.

We obviously come up against Smudger (Chris Smith) who was a good servant for Tamworth.

He had his reasons for leaving, but parted on good terms with the club.

I'm looking forward to having a chat with him after the game and hopefully we'll be talking about a Tamworth win.

As for me, I'd like to be involved.

I'm itching to get on the pitch as always but the lads are doing well at the moment so you can't really complain.

I'll just keep myself fit and ready to be called upon but long may the current form continue.
