COLESHILL Town hot shot Danny Carter hasn't ruled out staying at the Midland Alliance club next season, writes Matt Panter.

Carter said: "It's all a bit fresh at the moment and I'm still playing a few reserve games.

"But I'll sit down with Carl in the summer and see what happens.

"I have been at Coleshill for a long time so, of course, I wouldn't rule out staying on next season.

"I'm also about to become a father so I would certainly think I will remain local next season. That's the plan."

While results on the pitch have been mixed, the 20-goal striker has been impressed with how things are progressing at the club as a whole.

"It was a funny season on the pitch with a mixed bag of performances," said Carter.

"We were too inconsistent and perhaps we had one too many young players lacking experience at the level.

"I'm sure that Carl will look to add some fresh faces in the summer and just bring in that extra bit of quality.

"But off the pitch, I think it's great that Coleshill now has a structure. It's a club now.

"I think the chairman (Paul Billing) is a top guy, a genuine bloke and the club is in good hands with him. I can only see progress being made."
