Coaching for youngsters
NORTH Warwick Cricket Club's winter academy at Wilnecote Leisure Centre continues to go from strength to strength.
Following the recent half-term break, coaches are about to embark on the final five weeks of the course.
Currently attracting a regular attendance of about 30 youngsters aged eight to 16, the course features net coaching, including one-to-one tuition with a bowling machine.
It also features group coaching where basic cricket and alertness skills are taught to the younger group.
North Warwick are looking for more youngsters aged 11 and below.
As an incentive to all interested kids and parents the first session will be entirely free of charge.
The remaining five weeks commences on Sunday, February 28, at Wilnecote Leisure Centre, with courses taken by ECB-qualified coaches.
Anyone interested in joining should arrive for registration at the leisure centre in Tinkers Green Road a quarter of an hour before the session applicable to their age group.
That is an arrival time of 9.15am for youngsters aged eight to 12, with a coaching session from 9.30am to 11am, and 10.45am for teenagers aged 13 to 17, with the session running from 11am to 12.30pm.
