Courts need to stop boy racers

I WOULD like to know when something is going to be done about the idiotic boy racers making the Ventura Park area a death trap for other users.

It wouldn't be so bad if they learned to take corners, but each week you see demolished road signs, lamp posts and fences.

It's a miracle an innocent person has not been killed while they zoom around the car park at 70mph among mothers and children.

Where are the police?

According to the Herald's 'in court' column, they are at Clifton Campville catching an 83-year-old female pensioner and doing her for driving without due care and attention, for which she received a £50 fine, six points on her licence and had to pay £300 costs.

That should see her pension money sorted out for a few weeks.

I know that two wrongs don't make a right, but how many boy racers do you see in court?

Or is it easier to catch an 83-year-old woman? 'Justice being done'? What a joke.

A Hall, Amington.

“You don't think 83 year olds should be done but young lads should be? for the same offence?

Is A Hall saying that driving without due care and attention should have an upper age limit? Let them off when they reach 80 or something.

If a mother and child are killed by someone driving without due care and attention, does it matter if they're 83 or a boy-racer? What a silly thing to say.”
