Tamworth CC are looking to bolster their playing ranks for next season. The club’s first team have just completed their Birmingham League campaign, finishing third. But they are keen to attract more players in their 30s to add competition.

Secretary John Manuel said: “We have a thriving youth set-up and some good players in the 20s and some other players coming to the end of their careers.

“But we are missing a generation for one reason or another. We want to attract players in the 30-40 age bracket who might have drifted away from the sport.

“We want to find some players with past or present experience in cricket to help our development.”
