Exciting times at The Lamb
WHAT a week. I have watched two outstanding live football matches down The Lamb in which Tamworth have drawn with Cambridge United and beaten Luton Town.
The standard of football, atmosphere, excitement and value for money have been second to none but both games have been watched by less than one per cent of the town's population.

Tamworth's Kyle Perry in action against Luton Town at The Lamb on Saturday. Perry was one of the goal scorers who helped Tamworth secure a 3-1 victory.
In the 2001 census, Tamworth had a population of 74,531, yet TFC have a hard core support of around 600.
The more people who watch the more money becomes available and the bigger and better the squad Gary Mills can put together.
Many residents of Tamworth are exiled Brummies whose loyalties are with Villa, Blues or Albion – fine, but if your team is away and you are not going, then give TFC a try... you will not be disappointed.
If you have not seen a live game for some while – try it – the sterile atmosphere of the games you watch on TV cannot compare with live action.
And at The Lamb the banter is constant and you are so close to the action.
The team is doing the town proud, it's about time the town did the team proud.
