NOW in its third year, the Lichfield Roots and Folk Festival has announced its most varied line-up ever for the forthcoming three-day musical event.

Taking place at Lichfield Guildhall between Friday, October 21 and Sunday, October 23, the festival organised by Lichfield Arts boasts a packed programme of artists and bands including Kan, The Reel Hot Ceilidh Peppers, Maggie Boyle, Martha Tilson and Dark Horses featuring Keith Donnelly and Flossie Malavialle.

Local performers can take part in a Folk Band Workshop as part of the final day of music, with 3 Daft Monkeys proving their reputation as one of the best live acts on the circuit to bring the bash to a close.

Lichfield Art's director, Chris Newcombe, said: "I can't think of a better way to spend an autumn weekend.

"We have put together a wonderful varied line-up of acts from all around the country.

"Lichfield Guildhall is the venue and everyone is invited along to enjoy the fun!"
