DIVORCEES and widowers in Tamworth are being encouraged to join a friendship building group.

Fresh Start meets at the Lea Marston Hotel every Thursday at 8pm.

The group was launched by Margaret McCollough 18 months ago.

She said: "I have a life now because of the group. It can be so difficult for people in their 50s and older when they are divorced or widowed to rebuild their lives.

"We are a not for profit group and are welcoming new members to come along or call us to find out more about the group."
