Games were pure gold for family of ice hockey player
DUNCAN Keith's golden success at the Winter Olympics may have gone largely unnoticed in England but champagne was flowing in one Tamworth home to celebrate his achievements last Sunday.
Duncan was a member of the Canadian ice hockey team who won gold medals at the games, with a dramatic 3-2 victory over the U.S. in Vancouver.

And, as the Chicago Blackhawks star battled it out in the final, his relatives across the pond were transfixed.
Though born in Winnipeg, in Canada, Duncan's mother Jean Keith, nee Price, was born in Tamworth before moving to Canada, where she married Dave Keith.
The family connections in the town are still strong and Duncan's uncle Norman, along with the rest of the Price family, were nervous spectators as the final got under way.
"It was edge of your seats stuff for us all," Norman said. "It made it even more tense because it was a real cliffhanger of a game as Canada were leading 2-1 with a few minutes to go.
"The U.S. then equalised to take it into extra time but fortunately Duncan and the Canadians came out on top.
"What made it extra special was that Duncan won gold on his mum's birthday. You couldn't have wished for a better day."
Norman's wife, Chris, added: "We are all very proud of his achievements. He came to stay with us in Tamworth a couple of years ago to see us and his grandmother Phyllis.
"He's a lovely, level-headed young lad and the success he has achieved in the sport hasn't gone to his head at all.
"We had the whole family round watching him in the final and cracked open the champagne when Canada won."
