Job seekers offered help in drop-in event at Tamworth Assembly Rooms
A drop-in event will be held later this month to offer help to Tamworth unemployed people trying to find jobs.
The event, organised by the Employment Action Group, will be held at Tamworth Assembly Rooms from 10am to 12.30pm on Monday, January 28.

The group is made up of a number of organisations including Tamworth Borough Council, Coalfields Regeneration Trust, Bromford Housing Group, Community Together, South Staffordshire College, the Careers Service, Tamworth Library, Business Development Service and Volunteer Centre Tamworth.
Representatives from a number of these agencies will be on hand at the drop-in event to give jobseekers help and advice on looking for work, training or starting a business and to point them towards the range of services available to support unemployed people.

Cllr Steve Claymore, Cabinet member for Economic Development and Enterprise, said: "Tamworth Borough Council is pleased to be able to play a role in helping people to find work and giving them the skills needed for employment.
"I would encourage anyone who is out of work and looking for a job to come along to the drop-in event on January 28 to see what help and support is available."

“Many of the 'organisations' involved use Forced Unwaged labour.
It'd help those unfortunate enough to find themselves unemployed, if they were paid at least the minimum wage for the work they're conscripted to do.
It's shocking that the European Convention on Human Rights is violated by dodgy businesses, shifty councils and bogus charities.”
