Tamworth Men's Second XI 1 Bridgnorth 4

Tamworth men's seconds lost out in a difficult clash with unbeaten West Midlands One league leaders Bridgnorth.

Tamworth struggled to cope with Bridgnorth's early pressure and found themselves 2-0 down in the opening ten minutes.

However, the home side settled in and began to create a few chances of their own, looking unlucky not to score after a succession of short corners.

Bridgnorth then grabbed another goal just before the break as their overall dominance paid off.

In the second half, Tamworth improved immensely and got a goal back from a screaming short-corner strike by Simon Bowyer.

Bridgnorth were able to add a fourth to their tally but Tamworth could take heart from their second-half effort.
