Martin bows out with sleazy role
TAMWORTH Arts Club's April production of Copacabana will be the last time Martin Shepard performs in the town.
He has graced the Tamworth Assembly Rooms stage many times since he joined the society in 1999.

Martin Shepard played the lead in Tamworth Arts Club's production of Jekyll And Hyde The Musical.
And he has performed some timeless roles such as Oscar Lindquist (Sweet Charity), Nathan (Guys and Dolls) and the Tin Man in the club's recent production of The Wizard Of Oz.
During his time with TAC, Martin has demonstrated his ability to play any part.
The one role that really showcased his talent was his performance in Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.
In the 2008 show Jekyll And Hyde The Musical, he showed that he had the skill and voice more than worthy of being heard on a West End stage.
Martin will be leaving the Tamworth area after Copacabana.
He will be starring in his last show as the dastardly Rico Castelli, a sleazy Italian nightclub owner who indulges in drugging, kidnapping and murder.
Copacabana is on at the Tamworth Assembly Rooms from April 14 to 17 at 7.30pm, with a BSL signed performance on April 14 – signed by volunteers from Tamworth Signs For Worship – and a matinee at 2pm on April 17.
Tickets are available from the Tamworth Information Centre, Market Street, 01827 709618.
