ROSSI & ROSSI 2 SPORTSCO 2

ROSSI produced a dominant performance but had to settle for a point after being thwarted by a stubborn defensive display from Sportsco.

Rossi could have been 5-0 up within 30 minutes having several clear chances.

However, they found themselves a goal down before the reliable Johno McCall levelled, sliding home after good work from his brother Kieran and Adam Bache.

The second half was more even but Rossi had their fair share of chances.

They eventually took the lead when McCall lobbed the keeper after springing the offside trap.

Rossi looked set for victory but conceded again and had to settle for a point when they should have won comfortably.

EDGBASTON UNITED 1 ROSSI & ROSSI B 1

ROSSI battled out a draw with Edgbaston after this hardfought clash.

The Tamworth side took an early lead inside five minutes when top scorer Pete Arnold headed home from close range. Edgbaston dominated possession for the remainder of the half but failed to trouble Rossi.

The home side eventually equalised when Dave Tallis was beaten by a free-kick.

Ten minutes later, on 70 minutes, Dec Brockbank was put clean through by Arnold but dragged his shot wide.

Edgbaston went down the other end and won a penalty but Tallis made a great save.
