Former Nottingham Forest and West Brom star Lyttle on life at the Lambs
IN terms of results, it's been another magnificent week for us here at Tamworth.
It was the start of a busy and difficult period for us and we got off to a great start with the 1-0 win over Stevenage.
I thought it was a terrific result and a great performance from the lads.
I can't really remember Cocky (Danny Alcock) having much to do at all on the day.
We carried on that performance at Wrexham on Tuesday night as we claimed another point and another clean sheet in the process.
The defensive record is something we are very proud of at the moment.
I think a lot of players look at stats in football and our defensive record is both a source of confidence for ourselves and, psychologically, something that other teams will look at and fear.
The pleasing thing is that whoever has come into the side in the last ten games has done well.
We have had to mix it up but we have kept up the continuity in terms of clean sheets.
In relation to the Wrexham game on Tuesday night, all the lads were determined to get a result for the gaffer (Gary Mills) and his family after hearing that his father had sadly passed away on Monday.
We all want to pass on our condolences to him and his family at what is a really sad time.
Now we are preparing for Mansfield at home and hopefully we will get a bumper crowd for the game.
It would be nice to think that we could get a 1,000 plus for the game because the lads deserve a good crowd for the performances they are putting in.
Finally, from a personal point of view, I am feeling fit and ready for action if called upon now.
When you see the lads doing so well, you want to be out there on the pitch playing your part.
It's no different for me now than it's ever been.
There is the option that I could go out and get a few games under my belt at Atherstone with Dale Belford in a few weeks time.
It's a possibility but at the moment we have a busy period at Tamworth so we need all available bodies.
As I say, I'll be ready and available for if and when the gaffer needs me.
