DETECTIVES have issued CCTV images of four men they want to speak to after a theft and an assault in Tamworth.

The offences happened almost two months ago, but police have only just revealed details.

Four youths entered the Spar Stores in Ellerbeck, Stonydelph at around 10.10pm on Saturday December 10 and stole alcohol.

A short while later, two men who were walking in Carlcroft, Stonydelph were assaulted. Police say they believe the same four men caught on CCTV in Spar Stores were responsible.

One victim, a 19-year-old local man, suffered facial bruising. The second, who is also aged 19 and local, suffered a broken cheekbone.
