Prize on offer for top young talent
YOUNG stars of the future are being invited to showcase their skills in an annual talent competition in Sutton next week.
Razzamataz Theatre School is holding its 2010 Razz's Got Talent competition and is calling on all budding singers dancers and performers, aged five to 17, from across the region to take part.
"This year's event is going to be even more glamorous and glittery than ever before," said Samantha Jones, from Razzamataz.
"The winner will walk away with this year's title and top prize of a Razzamataz Scholarship and trophy."
Other prizes up for grabs, along with the scholarship, include a free recording session at Priory Studios.
All runners-up will receive a certificate and a free session with Sutton Razzamataz worth £15.
The competition is on January 26 at the Harvest Fields Community Centre, Harvest Fields Way, Sutton Coldfield. It will run from 5.30pm until 7pm.
Spaces are limited and the school will be unable to accommodate anyone wishing to perform who turns up on the night without booking a place beforehand.

Forms can also be downloaded from the website www.razzamataz.co.uk. Entrants should prepare either a song, dance or drama piece or a mixture of all three that lasts no longer than three minutes.
"I would like to encourage all children who enjoy performing to try their luck in this competition," added Samantha.
"As a school, we provide modern, street dance and contemporary pop alongside the more standard theatre disciplines.
"If you don't fancy taking part, you are more than welcome to come along and watch the competition and meet the staff and students at Razzamataz.
