QEMS results well above national average

QEMS has had a record-breaking year turning out a set of results that are well above national averages.

A total 59 per cent of students achieved at least 5A*-C grades including maths and English - up from 44 per cent last year - and 79 per cent gained five higher grades or more across all subjects.

Headteacher of the school, Robert Fell, said: "We are delighted with our performance this year, which draws a line under the past difficulties the school has faced.

"This success does not happen by chance; it has required considerable hard work, resilience and determination from the staff of QEMS.

Particular outstanding performances were made by Katie Parry (8A*, 3A), Billy Holt (6A* and 3A), Ravin Thakrar (5A*, 4A) Cornelia Van Den Bergh (2A*, 7A) and Andrew Marsden (5A* and 2A) plus a grade A in A level maths.
