TALENTED pupils from a Tamworth school wowed audiences last week with their annual musical.

With a cast of more than 50, Wilnecote High School staged the much-loved Bugsy Malone.

The sell-out shows were the culmination of months of rehearsals.

Headteacher Stuart Tonks said: "This production continues the school's tradition of excellent musical theatre and was, as always, an absolute joy to watch.

"I was particularly impressed this year by the confident and talented performances of the many younger students in the cast."

In the lead roles were Alex Sutton as Bugsy Malone, Danielle Miller as Blousey Brown, Georgina Steggles as Tallulah, Haydn Greaves as Fat Sam, Dan Roberts as Dandy Dan, Charlie Styles as Cagey Joe, Zach Parkin as Fizzy, George Healey as Leroy/Knuckles, Holly Short as O'Dreary and Jack Bagnell as Smolsky.
