Social networking is the way forward
ONE of the area's long-established estate agencies has embraced the social network 'revolution' as part of its strategy to maintain growth in these challenging economic times.
The team at Jayman has updated its website and gone onto all the key social and business networking sites – Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn – to give clients more 'instant' channels to keep in touch with the sale or letting of their property... and to allow house-hunters further avenues into the company's property portfolio.
"We have also invested in the most up-to-date computer equipment to help ensure that we can provide the best service to customers," explained Jayman co-owner James Greaves.
The agency – which covers Lichfield, Tamworth, Burntwood, Cannock and Rugeley – has just held its annual staff conference, at which the 2011 awards were given to staff.
The Employees' Employee of the Year award went to company administrator Marie Marklew; with Ann Stevenson gaining the Best Negotiator award and Sharon Humphreys taking the Most Mortgage Leads award.
"It has been another challenging year for the property sector," James added, "but we were able to take on two new members of staff late last year as demand for our services grew.
"Our aim for 2012 is to maintain steady growth, utilise social networking to enhance our customer service and to maximise lettings opportunities."
2011 was a significant year for Jayman's Lettings Division, which celebrated 20 years of successful trading and then completed its 5,000th property let last summer.
