Students urged to take swift advantage of results advice
YOUNG people in Tamworth are being told not to wait until the last minute if they need help following their exam results.
The advice comes from Connexions Staffordshire, whose advisers are ready to provide information and guidance to teenagers receiving A-level results today, Thursday, and GCSE marks next Tuesday, August 24.
Students will be able to discuss their options and look at both local and national courses, jobs and training opportunities, and receive help on what to do next.
Carol Jones, the chief executive for Connexions Staffordshire, said: "We know how important it is for young people to get appropriate and impartial advice and guidance on results days, whether they have done better than they thought or have not achieved the results they had been hoping for.
"Connexions Staffordshire helps young people throughout the year.
"We have been working with partners from schools, colleges and training providers to provide planned support for young people.
"It is therefore crucial that young people stay in touch with us, particularly on and after results days, so that we can help them find and secure the right opportunity."
The Tamworth Connexions office is based at 56a Albert Road.
