Tamworth residents invited to share NHS experiences
RESIDENTS are being urged to come forward with information about their experience of local health services.
Health bosses at South Staffordshire Primary Care Trust (PCT) want to hear from members of the public about where things work well, but more importantly where people think services could be improved.

Tamworth residents invited to share NHS experiences
And this week, Tamworth residents are being invited to attend an hour-long session at the Peel Medical Practice, Peel Court, Aldergate, where they can have their say.
"We've held a number of drop-in sessions across South Staffordshire in the past and have been able to take forward many of the issues raised," said PCT chief executive Stuart Poynor.
"I look forward to meeting the residents of Tamworth to hear how we can work together to improve the quality of services for the whole community."
The PCT has responsibility for all local health services and has made a pledge to ensure patient safety and to improve patient experience.
The session, which will run from 3.30pm on Tuesday, February 2, will enable people to raise any comments, concerns or suggestions as well as ask any questions about the future of the local health service, or provide general feedback.
The team said it will try to respond to as many issues asĀ possible on the day, but will also take more complicated issues back to the PCT for further investigation.
In addition to the drop-in sessions, the PCT is also introducing a number of measures to make it easier for people to provide feedback on their experiences and will be visiting community and voluntary groups.

“Can I assume from the timing of this drop in session 3-30 to 4-30pm on a weekday, Tamworth residents that are :-
a) At their workplace.
b) Parents that have or are
collecting their children from
school.
c) The elderly & infirm.
d) Those unfortunate to be ill.
would be unavailable to attend.
It therefore begs the question, what demographic group is the PCT hoping will or will not attend this session.
I suspect, if this meeting had been scheduled for an evening or weekend, a doctors surgery would not have been sufficient.
Yet another case of window dressing!”
