Tears aplenty as tots make school move
EMOTIONAL farewells were made as nursery children 'graduated' ahead of their step up into schools this September.
Manna House Day Nursery in Bamford Street was awash with caps and gowns last week as its band of four-year-olds completed their last day.
Each year the nursery holds a graduation ceremony for its youngsters, with each receiving a certificate and a present, along with best wishes for the future.
June Emmerson, head of nursery, said: "Some of these children will have been here with us since they were babies so it is quite emotional for them, us and their parents to be saying goodbye.
"We've had these ceremonies for a number of years and it is a nice way to wrap things up before they go on to school life."
