I always look forward to reading the Herald History with John Harper in the Tamworth Herald.
What a great Ambassador he would make for Tamworth. He has all the right solutions for safe guarding Tamworth, and understands what Tamworth really means to the people.

Like he stated in the Tamworth Herald January 19th 2012. The Queen’s forthcoming Diamond Jubilee, and Tamworth Borough Council. “What have they ever done in the past, to celebrate any Great National Events ( Nothing)”.
Have you taken a look at the old Municipal offices. It to, is now falling into decline. It is a pity it could not be put to better use, or will TBC let it get so bad, then they have an excuse to pull down, yet another Historic Building.

Arriva Garage, who wants that monstrosity. Put it down Lichfield Trading Estate. Or Better still on Ventura, the Mayor could at least then catch a Bus with his Shopping Trolley.

Who can remember coming out of the Assembly Rooms, stamp on the back of your hand, and having a couple of Pints in the Municipal. Or going over to the Hot Dog Stand. And what about a trip down Memory Lane: The Castle Grounds. It must have been the Courting Capital of Tamworth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If we could Clone 30 John Harpers, and make them all Councillors. Tamworth would be a lot better for it. We would also still have the great Market Town, Tamworth once was.”
