“I have worked part time with my main income benefits for 12 years. I just started a full time night job, but currently only get part time hours because of customer requirements. I now work effectively two part time jobs and am worse off!
I can't afford to pay for my new glasses, so soon I may not be able to work because of my poor eyesight.
Why don't low paid workers get free glasses? I asked the optician and all they could offer was to have the glasses and pay weekly- no thanks. I have enough debt to deal with. If I do that somebody else doesn't get paid.
Cutting benefits won't help me. Paying a living wage will.”
