Win chance to meet festival stars
Everyone who snaps up single or family passes for the August 8 event will go into a prize draw for a pair of exclusive tickets with backstage hospitality and the chance meet the festival performer of your choice.
Tickets for the open-air extravaganza went on sale on Saturday, May 16 with fans queuing as early as 7.30am.
"Things have got off to a really good start," explained event co-organiser Jem Sanders.
"We're hoping the festival will raise as much money as possible for Just 1 Life but more needs to be done.
"All we can ask is for people to keep supporting us and for those that haven't yet bought tickets to get them and be part of this spectacular event."
First in line for tickets on Saturday was Jacqui Pratt.
Mum Jacqui got up bright and early to get tickets for her daughter Rebecca, who celebrates her birthday on the day of the festival.
She'll be spending the day with 14,000 fans as they descend on the Castle Grounds to catch Blue, Liz McClarnon, The Automatic and X Factor favourites Eioghan Quigg, JLS and Chico in action.
Second through the doors was Sandra Taft, who also bought tickets for her daughter, Laura. Sandra was closely followed by Rachele Young, who bagged tickets five and six.
The one-day charity show is taking place in aid of premature baby care charity Just 1 Life.
The aim of the organisation is to raise much-needed funds for neo-natal units across the country.
Ticket prices start at £45 and a imited numbers of single and family tickets are now available from the TIC, in Market Street.
