A family day

AN EXCITING action packed day for families is promised at a special event in Kingstanding tomorrow.

The Kingstanding Fun Day is being held at the Wheeldon Recreation Ground from 10.30am until 2pm.

The event will include the Urban Devotion football cage to entertain teenagers, along with bouncy castles and face painters provided by Home Start to entertain the younger ones.

The police will be setting up a mobile police station and the fire service will also be attending.

Erdington Rotary will feed the famished from their barbecue and in total over 30 stalls will be available promoting services and raising funds for good causes.

The Kingstanding and Oscott Events Group has been busy planning the event since early December and organiser Keith Airey said: "The event will be bigger and brighter. It will be a really great day for the whole community and most of the activities are free of charge."
