Bolehall boss Barnes: 'It was a tough decision to quit'

Barnes acted after watching his side, 17th in the Midland Combination Premier Division, draw 1-1 with bottom club GSA Sports on Tuesday night.
Dave Read has taken over temporary charge of the first team squad.
"It's one of the hardest decisions that I have had to make," said Barnes, who has been at the helm for 14 months.
"I absolutely love the football club to bits and I have made this decision for the benefit of and in the interests of the football club rather than myself.
"I could easily carry on in the role but, having been involved here for six years, I don't want to see the club go backwards.
"There is a great set of players at the club but I just don't feel I, as a manager, can do any more with them.
"As I say it's been a tough decision because the club is in my blood and I have a great rapport with everyone.
"But it is also a decision which has been on the cards for some time.
"We have had a poor set of results but you always think things will turn round. That hasn't happened and I have decided to leave with a heavy heart.
"I have been asked to stay on as a committee member and I am still involved with the youth set-up.
"I will do everything that I possibly can to support whoever ultimately takes over the club."
